Thursday June 3
The end of the term is finished tomorrow and exams will start next Wednesday. Just a reminder all missing work is due on Friday. I am not at school today due to a little one with strep. However, I was there for Inspire and reminded kids about turning in missing work and I told them to hand it to the sub. I will grade it tomorrow and get it in the grade book.
2nd hour math: kids shared their tessellations today during class. Then received their exam review sheet. The exam review sheet is due on Monday.
5th hour Math: kids corrected 8.2-8.5 today during class. They were to make a note-card with the formulas for each type of shape within those sections. Then they took a mini quiz to get them ready for a mini-test tomorrow. TEST tomorrow over Ch. 8.2-8.5. They will be able to use their notecards on their test.
Science: students have been working on weather forecasting. Today they completed two activities looking and analyzing different weather maps to see if they can predict what the weather will be like in the US. They will be given a review sheet for their weather test they will take during exam time.
AGAIN: all missing work is due on Friday June 4!!!! Look for exam review sheets or test review sheets coming home starting today.

June is finally here and things are really winding down around this HOT place!
2nd hour math: students worked on the tessellations today: something a little bit fun! They received their chapter 10 tests back today so ask your kids about them. They need to let me know by tomorrow whether they are planning on retaking the test! They will retake on Thursday.
5th hour Math: I went over the chapter 12 test with the kids today and then gave them theirs back to correct. We have a lot of homework I gave today because we are going to the whitecaps tomorrow. All of this homework will be due on Thursday.
